Air Max 2003

The Nike Air Max 2003 featured a high-tech carbon-based fiber manufactured in Japan that was similar to polyurethane and offered a breathable and waterproof combination for runners.  Like earlier Air Max models, the Air Max 03 also incorporated the full-length Visible Air Unit with a TPU mid-sole unit to support pounding heels. Most importantly, the Air Max 03 included a ventilated support strap on the inside to create the same fluid fit, feel, and appearance of a molded retro track spike.  The Nike Air Max 2003 was re-issued as part of the History of Air pack in 2005 and was also made available on NikeID where one could make their own custom Nike Air Max 2003.
